Codex Monitoring Usage

Codex can track its usage. This rule asks it to review progress at each usage check and address stalled work or repeated failures even when usage stays the same. It also asks Codex to check whether another run can provide new evidence and avoid unnecessary work while keeping required checks.

## Workflow Efficiency

- Track remaining usage at task start and work boundaries when available.
- At each usage check, compare progress with remaining work and review workflow efficiency, accounting for concurrent agents.
- Review stalled progress and repeated failures even when reported usage is unchanged.
- Before repeating a run, confirm its prerequisites and what new evidence it can produce.
- Correct recurring failures and remove redundant work.
- Retain effective methods and check whether adjustments improve progress.
- Make routine improvements without asking permission.
- Preserve scope, correctness, required verification, and completion criteria.
